Wesley Johnson

Wesley began his career as a swimmer, swimming since early childhood and raising to compete at an elite and international level. Building on his early successes, he went on to swim in college for the University of Utah. Upon graduating college, he immediately became involved in the world of triathlon, and was quickly certified as a USA Triathlon coach. Since then he has also become a USA Swim coach, USA Masters swimming coach, and USA Track and Field coach. In edition to gaining these governing body certifications, Coach Wes stays abreast of all the current research and physiology of the body, as well as the development and growth of the sport.

It didn’t take long for Wes to know that coaching athletes was his calling, nor for the positive affirmation via results to start flowing. He is proud to coach athletes who have raced at the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona, 70.3 IRONMAN World Championships, ITU Triathlon World Championships in Spain, ITU Duathlon World Championships in Spain, and Half Max National Championships. In edition to working with a handful of elite amateurs, he has also coached many beginners, some of whom have already grown into top-notch athletes that aspire to race professionally one day. Wes brings to the table a mix of technical knowledge and caring engagement that will help athletes of all current abilities reach their respective next levels.
