Maplewood has been at the forefront of bike fitting for the past 40 years. We knew a long time ago that setting up a bike to your own personal needs was not only important but essential for optimization, for performance, comfort, and enjoyment. We were the first shop in north america to bring in the Bio-Racer System. We were the second shop in the country to bring in RETUL 3D. We added the Retul Muve Dynamic Fit Cycle to our long list of tools, as well as a Velotron in which we utilize for Spin Scan coaching and training. We now have the undeniable most advanced fit equipment-the Guru DFU. Couple this with either the Retul 3d or Guru Range Of Right 3D, and the most experienced fitter in the area equals the most accurate and comprehensive fit you can get.

We have, by far, two of the most experienced and trained fitters in the midwest, and all of our staff have fit training, certifications from Guru, as well as the basic essentials to get most people on the correct size and set up.

Tim was honored by fitting the 2015 Garmin-Cannondale international pro team. He is looking forward to having a more integral role with GURU as a Fit Instructor and being on their advisory faculty! 10x Gold Medal Winner, 2014 Masters World Track Champion athlete, Liz Heller, is another accomplishment that Tim has achieved this year.

Tim is known for paying keen attention to every detail with a unique ability to think outside the box with every athlete in his 28 years of experience in the bike industry. Along with his 10 fit certifications, 18 years experience as a full time fitter, over 10,500 fittings, you will get a true pro that has seen and corrected almost everything. He has many coaches, doctors and therapists who refer troubled athletes to him for bike set up correction. There is no other fitter in the St. Louis area with more fitting experience-NONE! Having the latest equipment cannot replace training and experience, but we have both.

Our two main fitters, Tim, and Stew stay busy year round, so appointments are necessary.
