Richard Laidlow has been a full time professional Triathlon and Cycling Coach since 2004. From his Training base in the South of France he offers online coaching and all year round Training Camps to athletes from around the globe. He is a qualified BTA and British Cycling Coach as well as having a vast knowledge and expertise gained as an elite athlete (swimming and triathlon) and RAF Physical Training Instructor (whilst in the RAF he was part of the relay team who broke the world record for the Belgium to England Channel crossing and has completed numerous other channel swims).
His additional experiences as a lecturer in sports science and as a personal trainer (YMCA qualified) give him exceptional practical and theoretical knowledge. In addition to his coaching Richard still competes regularly in all disciplines and is the head coach for the local club “Triathlon Catalan”.

WHAT YOU GET:
You receive a complete training package filled with great information and valuable training and racing tools. Once you sign up, you receive (via email) the “Triathlete Profile” which gathers detailed information on you, your training/racing history as well as your goals.

After returning the questionnaire, I perform a full and thorough evaluation of your training and racing history as well as your future goals. Next, I build your annual training plan. Using my training philosophy, your program gradually and progressively builds you into better triathlete – one ready for the challenges of your race distance as well as specifically prepared for your objectives. Armed with your profile details, the training plan is built specifically for you – taking into account your commitments with regard to your family life, available training time, training facilities, equipment and club sessions etc.

Using a sophisticated but easy to use web hosted package (TRAINING PEAKS), you’ll find the training details for each and every day of week. These are also emailed to you on a daily basis. No more guesswork on what triathlon training to do, just check your e mail or the days training schedule. This schedule incorporates every single workout. I also list the purpose for each workout as well as any special instructions or goals for workouts and races. The plan is built around the primary goal of your training cycle and along with your weekly feedback, is updated to reflect how your training is going. This plan is also adjusted whenever “life happens” and you need to change things around.

Q Coach Camps

All year round we provide fully coached and supported triathlon training camps (in the South of France) for dates that suit your training. Established in 2004, we provide a fully bespoke tailor made triathlon training experience, with all coaching and support provided by YOUR COACH, No matter what your needs or goals, from novice triathlete through to World Champions we cater for you all.
