I have been coaching middle and long distance runners since the 1970s. Although I only started swimming in the 80s, my coach was a UCLA All American, so I learned to swim properly. Self-coached in triathlon since 2002.
My approach to workouts aims at gaining maximum results from the minimal amount of time. Key principles are gradualism, hard-easy, multitiered training, variety, and enjoyment. Beginners or non-triathlete friendly.
